Professional Development Funding
Eligible educators may receive government funding to support their continued education and professional growth.
- Approved post-secondary tuition
- Required textbooks
- Approved workshops and conferences
Up to $500 per year for approved workshops and conferences
Paid Release Time
Eligible educators may also receive paid release time while completing approved education or professional development. Release time funding helps offset the time spent attending approved courses, studying, or participating in eligible workshops, making it easier for educators to continue learning while working.
Advance Your Certification
ECC encourages educators to continue advancing their professional qualifications from Level 1 to Level 2 and Level 3. Our team can help you understand certification requirements, available funding opportunities, and the steps needed to continue your professional development.
Stay Up to Date
Government funding programs, eligibility requirements, and funding amounts may change over time. ECC will continue to share important updates and help educators understand available opportunities through the Government of Alberta's Early Childhood Educator Workforce Supports Program.
