This handbook highlights key expectations, daily routines, health guidelines, fees, communication practices, and parent board information for families enrolled with ECC Family Day Home Agency.

General Information
ECC Family Day Home Agency provides a safe, high-quality childcare environment.
Educators operate independently, and the agency provides oversight and monitoring.
- Families must follow the Parent-Educator Agreement
- Agreement takes priority over handbook
- Policies may be updated anytime
- ECC supports diversity and inclusion
Daily Operation
- Sign in/out daily using Procare
- Follow agreed drop-off & pick-up times
- Late pick-up may result in fees
- Educators set their own schedules and closures
- Outdoor play happens daily (weather permitting)
- Cameras are used for safety only (not for parent viewing).
Health and Illness
Children must stay home if they have the following:
- Fever
- Vomiting or diarrhea
- Rash or contagious illness
If a child becomes sick, parent must pick up immediately.
- Must be symptom-free for 24 hours to return
- Medication requires written permission
Fees and Funding
- Fees are set between parent and educator
- Alberta funding may apply
- Parents must pay full fees if funding is delayed
- Fees are generally non-refundable
Communication
- Talk to educator first
- Contact agency if needed
- Respectful communication required
- Procare is used for updates and messages
